Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect the interior and exterior surrounding the rear window with towels or masking.
- Remove chrome trim and any body clips as needed: gently pry trim away using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching, and remove clips with pliers if required.
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip from the window channel; note clip locations and orientation for reassembly.
- Clean the channel and surrounding flange thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the window opening to confirm orientation and clip alignment.
- Apply a light film of silicone lubricant or soapy water to the weatherstrip sealing lip to ease installation.
- Press the new seal into the channel, starting at one corner and working around the opening; install or reattach body clips as needed to secure the trim area.
- Reinstall the chrome trim, ensuring clips seat properly and trim is aligned; check the seal for uniform compression and make minor adjustments as required.
- Perform a water test and inspect for gaps or leaks; allow any sealant (if used) to cure per manufacturer directions before driving.
