A two-piece rear window weatherstrip seal kit engineered to restore a watertight, low-noise seal around the rear glass. This kit replaces degraded or missing rubber to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and vibration, and protect interior trim from damage. Molded to match original profiles, the seals provide reliable, long-lasting performance with UV and ozone resistance for extended durability. Ideal for restoration or maintenance projects, the kit offers a near-OE fit and straightforward installation for both DIYers and professional installers.
Features:
- 2-piece rear window weatherstrip seal kit for Second Series applications (verify fit before purchase).
- Made from high-quality EPDM rubber for excellent weather, UV and ozone resistance.
- Restores a watertight seal to prevent leaks, wind noise and interior water damage.
- Molded profile matches original contours for accurate alignment and appearance.
- Durable, restoration-grade replacement that improves seal longevity and reliability.
- Designed for easy installation with adhesive or mechanical seating — great for restorations.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any retaining clips or fasteners; take note of orientation and attachment points.
- Clean the sealing channel thoroughly with a cleaner or rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit both seal pieces around the window to confirm proper orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the seal as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Seat the seal into the channel, starting at one corner and working around the perimeter, pressing firmly to ensure full contact and correct engagement with any retaining features.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in position if needed while adhesive cures; trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat finish.
- Allow adhesive to cure per adhesive manufacturer instructions (typically several hours) before operating the vehicle or closing the window.
