Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and remove the hard top (use a helper if required) or support it so the seal area is accessible.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: pry out any retained edge, clips, or adhesive remnants using a plastic trim tool to avoid damaging paint.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal along the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary, leaving a small overlap for final fit where applicable.
- If adhesive is recommended for your vehicle, apply a continuous bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. For snap-in installations, lightly coat the bulb with soapy water to ease installation.
- Press the new seal firmly into the channel, working from one end to the other. Use masking tape to hold areas in place while adhesive sets, if needed.
- Reinstall the hard top and check alignment. Close and latch the top, inspect for uniform compression of the seal, and perform a water or leak check.
- Allow any adhesive to cure fully (follow adhesive cure time on the product label) before driving.
