This left and right 2-piece fixed vent glass weatherstrip seal kit (VWK 1120 67) replaces worn vent window seals on 1967 Volkswagen vehicles with fixed vent glass. The kit secures the vent glass, prevents water intrusion and wind noise, and restores proper alignment and appearance. Made from durable, ozone- and UV-resistant rubber, the seals offer long-lasting protection and a near-original fit for restoration or routine maintenance. Designed for reliability and straightforward installation, the kit brings back a tight, quiet seal to your vent windows.
Features:
- Fits 1967 Volkswagen vehicles equipped with fixed vent glass — left and right 2-piece kit included.
- Made from high-quality, UV- and ozone-resistant rubber for long service life.
- Direct OE-style replacement to restore original fit, alignment, and appearance.
- Prevents water leaks and reduces wind noise and vibration at vent windows.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools — ideal for restoration or routine maintenance.
- Durable construction resists shrinkage and cracking for reliable weather protection.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and remove vent window hardware or pivot pins as required to access the seal (consult vehicle-specific repair manual if needed).
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by prying at the corners and pulling the seal out of the channel; use a trim tool to avoid scratching glass or metal.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and surrounding area with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner and a lint-free cloth; remove all old adhesive and debris.
- Test-fit the new seals (left and right) into the channel to verify orientation and fit before final installation.
- Lightly lubricate the new weatherstrip with soapy water or a recommended weatherstrip lubricant to ease installation. If vehicle requires adhesive, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip cement per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Press the new seal into the channel starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the seal seats fully and evenly without twists or gaps; use masking tape to hold in place if adhesive is used until set.
- Reinstall vent glass hardware, pivot pins, and adjust window alignment as necessary to achieve a uniform, gap-free seal.
- Check for proper operation and confirm there are no leaks by performing a water or smoke test and re-tighten or readjust as needed.
