Tempered grey vent glass engineered as a direct-fit replacement for First Series vent windows. - Tempered safety glass for increased strength and safer breakage pattern.
- Grey tint reduces glare and improves in-cabin comfort.
- Direct-replacement design restores proper sealing and reduces wind noise and leaks.
- Durable, long-lasting finish suitable for restoration and maintenance projects.
- Designed for straightforward installation with common hand tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45–90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, roll vent window partially open if possible, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if working near powered components.
- Remove interior door trim panel and any associated clips or screws to access the vent window frame and pivot hardware.
- Carefully remove the vent frame trim and any molding around the vent glass; use a trim tool to avoid damaging paint or trim.
- If present, disconnect vent glass pivot pins or mounting screws and support the glass with masking tape or a suction cup to prevent dropping.
- Loosen and remove the old vent glass from the frame, noting the orientation (left/right) and the location of any rubber seals or channels.
- Clean the channel and frame area of old adhesive, debris, and corrosion. Apply silicone spray or rubber lubricant to the channel for easier installation.
- Place the new tempered vent glass into the frame in the correct orientation. Ensure it seats evenly in the channel and aligns with pivot points.
- Reinstall pivot pins or mounting screws and tighten securely. Check the vent for smooth operation and proper sealing against the door frame.
- Reinstall vent frame trim, molding, and interior door panel. Replace any worn seals or clips as needed.
- Test the vent window operation and check for water-tightness by gently spraying water around the seam; re-adjust or re-seal if necessary.
