A direct-fit 4-piece vent glass weatherstrip seal kit designed to restore a tight, weatherproof seal for left and right vent glass assemblies. These seals prevent water intrusion and wind noise, protect interior trim from moisture damage, and restore the original fit and appearance of vent windows. Made from durable, ozone- and weather-resistant elastomer, the kit offers long-term reliability and a near-OEM fit to simplify restoration and maintenance.
Features:
- Fits left and right vent glass on select Volkswagen (VW) models — confirm part number VWK 1110 60 for exact year/model fitment.
- Complete 4-piece kit includes both left and right vent glass seals for full restoration.
- Durable, weather- and ozone-resistant elastomer construction resists cracking and hardening.
- Restores proper sealing to reduce leaks, drafts, and wind noise for improved driving comfort.
- Designed for near-OEM fit and appearance — ideal for restoration or replacement projects.
- Simple installation; can be installed with basic hand tools and common weatherstrip adhesive if required.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, lower the window (if applicable), and disconnect the battery if you will be removing wiring or powered components.
- Remove any interior trim or vent fasteners that block access to the vent glass assembly using screwdrivers and trim tools. Keep fasteners organized.
- Carefully remove the vent glass assembly or open the vent as needed to access the old seals. Use masking tape to protect surrounding paint and glass edges.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip seals. Use a small pick or needle-nose pliers to pry out retained sections; work slowly to avoid damaging the channel or glass.
- Clean the seal channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or contact cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Allow surfaces to dry fully.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces in their channels to ensure correct orientation and fit. Trim excess only if explicitly required and marked.
- Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal lip if recommended for your vehicle. Press the new seal firmly into place, ensuring the profile seats evenly along the entire length.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly and any trim hardware removed earlier. Use masking tape to hold seals in position while adhesive cures if used (follow adhesive cure time).
- Cycle the vent glass (open/close) to confirm smooth operation and proper sealing. Check for gaps, then finish by reinstalling interior trim and verifying fitment and function.
