Precision Vent Glass Weatherstrip Seal (Right hand, VWR 1110 67) is a direct-fit replacement seal designed to restore the vent window weatherseal on classic 1967 right-hand vent glass assemblies. It secures the vent glass, prevents water intrusion and wind noise, and helps maintain interior comfort while protecting upholstery and metal trim from moisture damage. Made for restoration and maintenance applications, the seal offers long-lasting resilience against ozone, UV exposure, and temperature cycling while being straightforward to fit for most home mechanics.
Features:
- Designed for 1967 right-hand vent glass assemblies (VWR 1110 67) — verify vehicle-specific fitment.
- Manufactured from durable EPDM rubber for excellent weather, UV, and ozone resistance.
- Seals vent glass to prevent water leaks, wind noise, and interior damage.
- Restores original appearance and function for restoration or replacement projects.
- Compression-fit design for a clean, secure installation; adhesive optional for added retention.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the door interior trim panel and any screws or fasteners securing the vent window assembly per vehicle service procedure.
- Carefully remove the vent glass assembly (if required) following vehicle-specific guidance to avoid bending the frame or breaking glass.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip from the vent channel using a trim tool or screwdriver; cut into sections if bonded to make removal easier.
- Clean the channel and surrounding metal thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the channel to confirm orientation and full-length fit; trim excess if necessary with a utility knife.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Press the new seal into the channel starting at one end and working toward the other, ensuring the seal seats fully into the channel groove. Use masking tape to hold it in place while adhesive cures if applied.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly and adjust alignment so the glass seats evenly in the new seal; tighten all fasteners to spec.
- Reinstall door trim and test the window for smooth operation, proper sealing, and absence of wind noise or leaks; make final adjustments as needed.
