A direct-fit windshield weatherstrip seal engineered for hardtop and convertible applications. This seal accepts chrome trim that inserts into factory-style body clips to create a secure, continuous barrier at the windshield opening. It helps prevent water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration while restoring the correct appearance and function of the windshield perimeter. Made from a weather-resistant rubber compound, it delivers long-lasting durability, reliable sealing performance, and straightforward installation for restoration or replacement projects.

Suggested Tools:

Plastic trim removal tool
Flat-head screwdriver (wrapped to protect finish)
Isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner
Clean lint-free cloths
Weatherstrip adhesive (optional, for corners/ends)
Utility knife or scissors

Instructions:

Carefully remove the chrome trim and old weatherstrip from the windshield opening, saving any reusable body clips if possible.
Clean the mounting channel and surrounding metal with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry.
Dry-fit the new weatherstrip into the channel and slide the chrome trim into its pocket to verify fit and alignment before final installation.
Starting at one corner, press the weatherstrip into the channel so the molded pockets seat over the body clip locations; work around the windshield keeping even tension.
Insert the chrome trim into the weatherstrip pocket, ensuring the trim engages the clip slots and aligns evenly along the windshield perimeter.
Apply small amounts of weatherstrip adhesive at corners or ends if additional hold is needed; trim any excess seal material with a utility knife for a clean finish.
Reinstall any retained clips or fasteners, inspect the full perimeter for gaps, and perform a water or leak check after installation to confirm a watertight seal.
