Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and wear gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully remove the windshield molding or trim using a plastic trim removal tool to avoid damaging paint or glass.
- Inspect and note the clip locations, then remove any remaining broken clips with needle-nose pliers or a screwdriver.
- Clean the molding channel and mating surfaces of dirt, old adhesive, or corrosion; allow to dry.
- Select the matching replacement clip from the kit for each original clip location.
- If clips mount to the molding, press new clips onto the molding at the original spacing; if they mount to the body, install clips into the body channel until fully seated.
- Reinstall the molding by aligning it with the clips and pressing firmly until each clip engages and the molding sits flush.
- Check trim alignment and seam gaps; make any small adjustments so the molding is even and secure.
- Test for proper retention by gently applying pressure along the molding and verify there are no loose sections or rattles.
