This 4-piece Precision Beltline Molding Kit (Left and Right Hand) is a direct-fit cosmetic and protective trim set for second series applications designated WFK 1110 55 A. The kit restores the vehicle's beltline appearance, seals the door-to-body joint against water and road debris, and helps align door glass and trim for a factory look. Finished to resist corrosion and wear, these moldings provide long-lasting durability and straightforward installation for restoration or repair projects.
Features:
- Fits second series applications with part designation WFK 1110 55 A — left and right hand, 4-piece set.
- OEM-style profile restores original beltline appearance and alignment.
- Corrosion-resistant finish protects against rust, road salt, and moisture.
- Secures door glass and trim, reducing wind noise and preventing water intrusion.
- Direct-fit design with factory-style attachment points for easy replacement.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower the window glass (if applicable) to access beltline area.
- Carefully remove any interior trim or weatherstripping that covers the molding attachment points using a trim removal tool.
- Remove the old molding: unfasten screws or pry out retaining clips gently to avoid damage to paint or panel edges.
- Clean the beltline surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding pieces to confirm orientation (left/right and top/bottom). Identify clip or screw locations.
- Attach any supplied or reused clips to the new molding. If fasteners are separate, align them with the vehicle’s factory holes.
- Position the molding against the beltline and press firmly into the clip locations. Where screws are required, install and snug them—do not overtighten.
- Reinstall any interior trim or weatherstripping removed earlier and cycle the door/window to verify fit, seal, and operation.
- Inspect the installed molding for gaps and even alignment; make any minor adjustments to ensure a flush, factory appearance.
