Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set parking brake, and chock rear wheels. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the vehicle and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front wheel(s) for access.
- Apply penetrating oil to the drag link connection points (pitman arm and steering knuckle) and allow to soak if corroded.
- Loosen the jam nut on the adjuster sleeve (if equipped) and mark alignment reference for reassembly.
- Separate the drag link ends from the pitman arm and steering knuckle using a tie rod separator or pitman arm puller as needed.
- Remove the old drag link and compare lengths/ends to the new part to confirm correct orientation.
- Install the new drag link, engaging the ball joints/ends into the pitman arm and steering knuckle. Secure with supplied nuts and new cotter pins where applicable.
- Adjust the drag link/adjuster sleeve to restore the previously marked alignment reference or to approximate correct toe; tighten the jam nut.
- Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications and grease any fittings using a grease gun if provided.
- Reinstall wheel(s), lower the vehicle, torque lug nuts to spec, and perform a final steering check. Have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure proper toe and handling.
