Front sway bar link (right/left hand) designed to replace worn or damaged links on 1997–2013 Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn models. This sway bar link connects the stabilizer (anti-roll) bar to the suspension control arm, restoring proper handling, reducing body roll, and eliminating clunking or vibration caused by loose or failed links. Built for corrosion resistance and long service life, this direct-fit replacement restores steering stability and vehicle safety while being easy to install for DIY enthusiasts or professional technicians.

  • Torque wrench
  • Penetrating oil (if bolts are rusted)
  • Pry bar (optional)
  • Replacement nuts/bolts if original hardware is corroded
Instructions:
  1. Park on level ground, engage parking brake, and chock rear wheels.
  2. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and secure it on jack stands; remove the front wheel for easier access if necessary.
  3. Locate the front sway bar link connecting the sway bar to the control arm (or strut), and inspect the mounting hardware.
  4. Apply penetrating oil to nuts and bolts if they appear rusted; allow time to soak.
  5. Remove the nut(s) securing the sway bar link to the sway bar and control arm using the appropriate sockets/wrenches. Hold the ball stud if necessary to prevent spinning.
  6. Remove the old sway bar link. Compare new link to the old one to confirm correct length and orientation (right/left).
  7. Install the new sway bar link into position; start nuts by hand to ensure proper thread engagement.
  8. Tighten nuts to manufacturer-specified torque using a torque wrench. If included, tighten jam nuts or center-to-body bolts per specification.
  9. Lower the vehicle, reinstall the wheel (if removed), torque wheel lug nuts to spec, and perform a short test drive to verify elimination of noise and restored handling.
  10. Re-check torque on sway bar link hardware after 100 miles of driving.
