Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and protect surrounding trim and paint with masking tape or covers.
- Remove exterior trim, molding, and any retaining clips around the windshield area.
- Carefully remove the old windshield (or loosen if reusing glass) and cut away the old seal and adhesive with a razor blade or scraper.
- Clean the pinchweld/channel thoroughly with solvent and a wire brush to remove rust, old adhesive, and debris; dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new WBL 4235 seal into the channel to confirm orientation and fit; trim if necessary per fitment guidance.
- Apply primer to mating surfaces if recommended by adhesive manufacturer and allow to flash per instructions.
- Apply a continuous bead of urethane windshield adhesive into the channel following adhesive maker’s specs.
- With assistance or using suction cups, seat the windshield into the new seal, ensuring even compression and correct alignment.
- Tape the glass in place to maintain position and allow adhesive to cure for the time recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Reinstall exterior trim and molding, remove protective tape, and perform a water test after full cure to confirm a leak-free seal.
